建筑师买下了这个场地，打算在这个场地上建造一个住宅，自己住进去，但同时这个住宅还要是一个实验室，让他能够在其中进行各类建筑实验。场地周围全是木林，山体起伏不断，有着朝西和朝南的美好景色。原有的旧住宅就位于高高的山头，在树林和草原的交界边缘地带。这个建筑完全由建筑师亲手建成，建筑师不断地进行各种建造实验，这个住宅也跟着不断进化，不断成长。
The architect purchased this property and decided to move into the house while phasing construction projects. The intention is for the project to be a laboratory for architectural experiments. The site is in the country in a partially wooded area with rolling hills with views to the west and south. The existing house is located on the highest ground of the site on the edge of where the trees meet the native prairie grass meadow.
