The Wolf House is sited on [lie sloping edge of a beautifully wooded ravine park in Toronto. The house is organized as a variation on the courtyard plan of Barton Myers‘ own resilience. Here the central corrnv.ird is exterior, separating tiring areas at the front and back; its glass walls bring in daylight and afford views to the park. Although the area of the house is a modest 3,000 square feet, the effect is one of unusual spaciousness. On the main floor, the courtyard divides the entry, carport and a mechanical service space at the front of the house from the kitchen, dining and living areas to the rear. Above, a bridge across the courtyard links three bedrooms, a playroom, and a bath to the master bedroom and study at the rear.
