这个住宅具有雕塑感的形态来源于设计与景观，与场地之间的对话。住宅的主人想让设计表现出自己对表演艺术和视觉艺术的热爱，因此住宅要有一个巨大的空间来容纳众多的人群，但同时又能保有私密和温馨。设计的策略是先生成一个平面设计，然后用紧紧的表皮将其包裹，以使住宅的功能成为整个繁茂结构的核心。空间沿着室内排布，根据使用频率和隐私度不同整体空间被分为独立但又相互联系的体量。The architects’ strategy was to compose the plan first and then wrap it in a tight skin， so the building’s function is the source of its exuberant form. Spaces are arranged along the interior according to frequency of use and various levels of privacy to break down the 6995-sf space into discrete interlocking volumes.
