This 18,000-square-foot condominium project is steeped in the spirit ot early Modem architecture ot the 1920s. Located in Atlanta‘s historically industrial area of Inman Park, the 15-unrt deve opment is n ghly expressive ot its concrete construction technique. These units are designed to invoke a machine aesthetic of European Modernism while Diovidncj all of the conveniences of contemporary Unu The three-story building occupies a tight rectangular form. Eroded portions of fhe concrete box reveal wood-clad elements. The project utilizes a unique cos:-elective tilt-up concrete panel construction technicue thai serves as no Ixrckgrouno- nlane :mm whrcn balconies project and portions of the plan shift in and out. The tilt-up construction is most clearly seen on fhe east elevation, which faces the parking ot. Window sifts were ntegiated into the tilt-up walls to provide framed views of the downtown skyline. The warmth of stained cypress wood siding contrasts with the machine-like precision of the concrete panels.
