建筑面积：1107.31平方米Project Area: 1107.31 sqm这是BmesR29事务所对桑塔特瑞萨养老院进行的翻修和扩建项目，原有的大楼是一个孤立的三层体量，它朝向西侧，有一个延续的冲着街道的立面。扩建后建筑扩大了近乎两倍，充分满足了养老院的功能和空间需求。扩建部分采用最少的体量变化，以保证新旧的自然过渡。新旧的融合还是通过使用保护性太阳能板系统实现的，垂直的百叶窗铝制板面将新旧完美统一；这些板面同时还可调节室内的光照情况。BmesR29 Arquitectes rehabilitated and added an addition onto the Santa Teresa retirement home. The existing building was an isolated three story volume that projected westward with a continuous facade in street Pica d’Estats. The addition almost doubled the size of the building due to functional needs of the retirement home. With such a large addition the architects tried to avoid adding more volumetric variations that would appear artificial. They aimed to have the building read as a single volume. They partly accomplished this by using a protective outer solar system of vertical aluminum louver that solved the old problem of intrusion in the original building.
