这是由墨西哥fernando romero enterprise建筑事务所（FR-EE）正在建造的新项目“南墨西哥博物馆”，位于玛雅海岸。这座建筑在形态上借鉴了玛雅金字塔的形式，是用当地石灰岩块建造的，可以经受飓风的侵袭。博物馆用一种当代的抽象形态来表现古老的金字塔建筑。建筑立面上有很多开口，游客仿佛置身周围的自然景观之中；同时该建筑还有一系列动态的内部空间，适合进行各种不同的展览活动。室内空间由一个带垂直交通系统的中央广场作为核心，同时还有其他一些机械设施。每个楼层都可以看做是个巨大的平台，在视觉上相互连接，将艺术展区与餐厅、观景区和屋顶休息厅结合到一起。

Mexican practice FR-EE / fernando romero enterprise is working on the new 'museum of south mexico' in the mayan riviera. borrowing the basic structure intrinsic to the mayan pyramids， ideal to endure hurricanes and built of local limestone blocks， the monolith represents a contemporary abstracted form the of the ancient construction. various openings are carved out of the facades that provide places for the users to experience the landscape as well as define a series of dynamic spaces inside， ideal for the exposition of different pieces. the interior is composed of a central square core housing the vertical circulation and mechanical systems. the various floors can be considered more as terraces that visual communicate to one another combining artwork with the cafeteria function， lookout areas， and top-floor lounge.
