库克大学建筑
凯恩斯研究所位于昆士兰的詹姆斯库克大学。该建筑环抱森林山坡，将热带雨林的景观带入校园，丰富了校内景观。建筑的设计展示了独特的美感，并展现了昆士兰独有的热带景观，为研究人员提供了一个更合适的教学和科研环境。该项目的设计目标是令使用者融入周围的生态环境中，利用网格覆盖整个建筑，网格的设计体现了建筑美学，而网格的透光功能也令屋内敞亮，这样进一步节约了能源成本，降低能源损耗，促进环境质量的提升，体现了可持续发展的理念。
The Cairns Institute, a revolutionary education and research space, has opened its doors this July, with new architecture by Woods Bagot and RPA Architects.The design reflects the beautiful, tropical landscape of far North Queensland while also providing a contemporary teaching and research environment with the highest technological standards.Cradled on three sides by rain-forested slopes, the landscape setting was inherent to the idea of a tropical campus – drawing the rainforest into the campus, enriching the urban campus heart, and in turn stimulating thought leadership from the students.Intrinsic to the design proposition is the celebration of the institute’s rainforest setting and enriched the place experience. The facade is layered and evolutionary – the building form is informed by the surrounding landscape, the design goal of this project was to create a building that blurred into the landscape itself。
