This private residence is located on a site near Zurich, offering panoramic views towards Lake Zurich and the .Alps. Zoning laws required a strict relationship between the topographv of the hillside and the height of the building. The formal elements of the structure are organized as a cluster of interconnected parts whose overlapping fragments evoke images of a dense rural ullage built up over time. The Z-shaped plan creates two outdoor spaces: a main terrace which, like the ullage square, acts as a referential outdoor room, and a three-level roof terrace, perceived from the exterior as a natural sloping green courtyard. The spatial organization of the house is defined bv a north-south circulation spine, accommodating an art gallery and a dining room, with the remaining public and living areas grouped at either end.
