新乡学院图书馆，位于新乡市金穗大道南侧、新乡学院院内，是整个学校最具标志性的建筑物。图案馆主楼采用双塔门字形造型，地下1层，地上12层，地上建筑主要为图书馆、院行政办公和学术研究中心三大功能，总建筑面积57901.8平方米。 图书馆以天圆地方的形态来构图，体现了传统中国人对于大自然的朴素认识，这种理念也诸多反映于传统城市设计中。天圆地方的形态给人一种居中而尊的态势，颇显大气庄重，与图书馆在校园整体规划中的地位相应，而双塔中间的圆形空间则构筑出非同一般的虚怀若谷，兼容并包的大学气度。 “书山”意境，建筑形态以现代构成手法将建筑构件层层片片叠合而成，似册册书籍层叠如山，雄浑矗立，裙房东西对称的六个方匣又神似古代的书匣，使莘莘学子产生出“书山有路勤为径”的联想。 “惜时如金”的沙漏，南北楼间圆形空间内结合建筑体型做沙漏状幕墙造型，以水代沙，自上而下沿幕墙龙骨内隐藏的管道缓缓流下，落于采光天顶正中的水盘中，希翼在那水声清越水气氤氲之时，学子们领悟到时光如漏沙，时光似流水，促使他们更加惜时如金，刻苦攻读。该装置也成为楼间的动态水雕，为校园增添了颇具人文意味的景观元素。 Xinxiang college library, is located inxinxiang Jin Sui avenue south, xinxiang college courtyard, is the school's mosticonic building. Pattern library’s main gate towers glyph shape, 1 floorunderground, 12 floors above the ground, the ground construction is mainly forthe library, school administrative offices and academic research center, totalof three big functions, with a total construction area of 57901.8 squaremeters. Library is to composite with nature roundplace form, embodies the traditional Chinese design language about the simpleunderstanding of nature, the concept also reflect many traditional urbandesign. Appearance give a person a kind of nature round place center,situational, add a solemn atmosphere, and fit the status of library in campusoverall plan accordingly, and the circle space in the middle of twin towersbuild an extraordinary, inclusive university bearing. "Hill of Books", is the artisticconception in modern architecture construction, layers of the composite bladesconstitute a gimmick, and cascade mountains like books stack on each other,powerful standing, podium thing symmetrical six square box and forms of ancientbook, make students produce ‘Diligence is the path to the mountain of knowledge’. Between north and south building, ‘time ismoney’ circular hourglass shape do curtain wall space within the building, withwater as sand, from top to bottom along the wall of the keel hidden pipe downslowly, fall on daylighting zenith is the water in the pan, hope in theunderwater sound almost syllabic moisture dense, students to grasp the time,such as sand leakage, time is like running water, encouraging them to be moreprecious little time to study hard. The device has become a dynamic watercarved between floor, adding humanistic meaning for campus landscape elements.
