To maximize the panoramic views， the 4，829 SF residence is partially embedded into the steeply sloping site which reduces the home’s visual impact from the street. The entry pathway that leads visitors through the site and into the home splits the main volume of the structure into distinct public and private zones， resulting in a dramatic framed view of the lake upon entry. The low sloped roof of the public zone directs toward views of the forest， while the private zone opens toward the water. Warm， rustic materials speak to the wooded nature reserve and surrounding natural landscape， while clean lines and minimal interiors express the client’s affinity for modern design.
