Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the house is composed of two three-story masonry towers framing a spectacular glass-enclosed volume at the center. A display structure for three classic cars separates the guest parking area adjacent to the road from the entry forecourt, which overlooks a walled and sunken garden, from which one can see through the house to the beach beyond. The spatial compression of the entry sequence is released in the soaring, 32-foot tall volume of the central space, with its dramatic views overlooking the ocean, experienced while crossing a bridge to reach the living room in the north lower. On the ground floor of this central space is the dining room, opening to the walled garden to the west and to the swimming pool and ocean to the east. The master suite occupies the top floor of the north tower, and a bridge runs across the top of the central glazed space to reach the study perched atop the south tower. Vertically fluted concrete block walls enclose the two towers, from which balconies and roof overhangs are cantilevered, while the glass wall of the central space is supported with glass mullions, creating a magical transparency to the sea for those Moating on the suspended bridges.
