Built in a cul-de-sac, this house lies in a protected wooded area. To the north, facing the street, a single-storey brick volume contains most of the house‘s service areas, including the kitchen, scullery, a Dathroom and an entrance hall. This is flanked on both ends by two wooden cubes, the sauna and pantry. The carport and storage shed are to the west. To the south of the brick volume, facing a stream which was slightly altered during construction, is the double-storey steel frame structure. Four bedrooms, a study and a living room are situated here. This part of the house is slightly raised from the ground and in future the areas natural vegetation will grow underneath it. To maximize the use of natural light and to give the best possible view, the southern facade is made up entirely of windows. On the top floor the facade is partially recessed to accommodate a balcony, accessible from all the rooms on this floor. The two main areas are connected by a volume that contains the dining and living areas as well as a second bathroom Different kinds of glass - sandblasted, clear, and glass blocks - predominate here. The flooring is ash and Indian slate, while tinted stuccoed brick and oil-treated cedar are used for the exterior.
