住宅位于好莱坞山的西侧山脊上，就在好莱坞标志下方，是对上世纪60年代山腹住房的一个精简改造。西侧和南侧是Beechwood Canyon，东侧是一自然的山涧，再远一点就是格里菲恩公园天文台。建筑位于一块向下的斜坡上，呈一系列连续的阶梯状空间。地形、区域和预算综合考虑之后，地基和房屋就有了现在的设计。 Nakahouse is an abstract remodel of a 1960′s hillside home located on a West facing ridge in the Hollywood Hills， just below the Hollywood sign. To the South and West are views of the Beechwood Canyon; to the East is a protected natural ravine， with a view of Griffith Park Observatory in the distance. The existing home was built as a series of interconnected terraced spaces on the downslope property. Due to geotechnical， zoning and budget constraints the foundations and building footprint were maintained in the current design.
