这个项目的建造可以为美国匹泽学院打造新式的生活方式，设计包含三个建筑，目的是重新定义大学生活，以一个自我独立的社区形式，融合起居和学习。这种组合鼓励学生们在学院内居住，同时能更多地参与到学校和社区的活动中。设计抓住大学的氛围，将宿舍设计成主题花园，这里有室外的空间，亲密的学习室，教职工套房，为非正式的课堂准备的室外庭院，还有社区客厅。  Reinvented lifestyle: The goal of the three-building residential project was to reinvent the collegiate lifestyle. The design team responded with a self-contained community that blends living accommodations (single- and double-room suites) with learning opportunities (outdoor classrooms， art studio with gallery space， and other informal meeting rooms). This lifestyle encourages students to live on campus for all four years， thus gaining extra time for study and community activities. The college feel: Backdropped by the San Gabriel Mountains in Claremont， California， Pitzer is rich with natural beauty and comfortable weather. To capitalize on these attributes， the residences house amenities like thematic gardens， outdoor meeting spaces， intimate study rooms with expansive windows， faculty suites with exterior patios for informal classes， and community living rooms.
