This housing scheme is based on a three-dimensional grid in the form of an exposed concrete frame with six-metre spans. A succession of seventeen cubic units are arranged among the greenery of a south-sloping site, conforming to the topography and, in the process, becoming staggered and creating flowing spaces. Each unit is composed of two or three grids and is designed to provide both privacy and views of the ocean. The basic type is a maisonette, but there are many variations. The shifting of the grids as a result of the topography generates two-storey spaces inside and roof gardens outside, as well as producing a stepped plaza. A large frame unifies the separate buildings of the project. Although this project was not executed because of functional and Financial problems, the ideas were subsequently realized in the Rokko Housing schemes.
