Polygonal Residence


西班牙Mes建筑事务所的Didier Faustino在西班牙塔拉戈纳附近的山城Cretas,设计了一所多边形住宅,是这位艺术家兼建筑师又一所独立住宅设计。这个建筑有着360度方向的“翅”,每个都有不同方向的视野和用途。传统概念里的墙、楼层、天花板在这里都被颠覆,形成了独特的室内空间和关系。“楼层”在这里是个更有活力的元素,各楼层似乎是别致的舞台,产生了很多半层空间。常规的天花板也被部分删除,倾斜的墙壁和玻璃窗连成一体,就是所谓的“天花板”。这个新奇的概念让建筑形态十分自由,各个方向的轴线都交于中央的起居空间。从这个有缝隙的空间看出去,住户可一看到不同方向的风景,光照质量也各不相同。

In continuing the solo houses project whereby architects are invited to create the possible home of the future, Portuguese artist/architect Didier Faustino of practice Mes Architecture proposes a polygonal residence in the small mountain town of cretas near tarragona of spain. With cantilevered volumes that project out in different directions covering a 360-degree grid, each wing of the house frames a different view and possesses a different function. The traditional notions of 'wall', 'floor' and 'ceiling' along with the classical vertical layering of spaces is broken, creating more dynamic interior forms and inter-spatial relationships. The 'floor' is a more dynamic element in the household, no longer creating a planar threshold between levels but instead acting as more of a specialized stage where an activity can take place and from where you can see other semi-floors and functions. The 'ceiling' is partially erased as it blends with the angular walls and glass window. The concept allows the home the freedom to be shaped by its site, forming the convergence of various directed axes towards one single point in the heart of the living spaces. From this interstitial space the user is presented with various angles, qualities of light, and views of the landscape.
