Wooden House in rural Ueda
位于上田市郊区的这个木屋住宅由Case Design Studio事务所设计，仿佛是这片安静农田里唯一的灯塔。建筑在路边的一片桃树和梨树背后，主要材料是自然色调的松木和烧成焦黑的木板。入口处有大型推拉门，里面是客厅、厨房和花园，还有一个连接一二层楼的中庭。为了强调基地的横向线条，水平的推拉窗几乎贯穿了整个建筑体量。内部的楼层之间有着相互之间的视线交流，还有许多开窗透进自然光线，在白墙上反射到室内的每个角落。卧室和办公室都在二层，由中庭分开，为房间提供适当的隐私。从办公室何以到达最顶层的阁楼，上面由天然木材铺设完成，这里的大窗口也间接为楼下的室内空间提供光线。

In the rural town of Ueda， where fields of crops still dominate the majority of the landscape， the residence by Case Design Studio stands as one of the only beacons of contemporary architecture. Behind a street-side orchard of pear and peach trees， the orthogonal wooden structure projects vertically with a contrasting skin of naturally finished pine and charred timber planks. At the entrance， where large sliding doors open the living room and kitchen to the exterior garden， a void connects the ground floor with the second storey. The horizontal strip window runs almost the entire length of the volume emphasizing the horizontality of the immediate site. The layered masses are visually connected in the interior creating several points from which natural light can be reflected off the white walls to every space of the house. The bedroom and office are located on the second floor， separated by the atrium-like element and a linear hallway along the rear axis， offering the appropriate amount of privacy. From the office one can reach the topmost volume rendered again in a natural timber finish that serves as an additional loft and light well with a large window that brings indirect light inside.
