ZNA/Zeybekoglu Nayman Associates just won the competition to design the Changbaishan Exhibition Hall in Jilin， China. The exhibition center is centered on the functions of displaying， negotiation & reception and signing， and also has the advanced function of conducting activities， business & leisure， etc. as well as the indispensable supporting functions of office， storage and finance， etc. The construction of their project skillfully uses Jilin cultural elements， pursuing energy conservation and environmental protection and adhering to the principles of low construction energy consumption & durable construction. This project is located in the Man Jiang Town of Swan-watching International Tourist Holiday Zone， Changbai Mountain， Jilin， China， facing the well-known tributary of Songhua River to the north and sweeping viewing the unique landscapes in the south. We’ll spare no efforts to create a brand-new construction image with distinct sense of the times and full of Jilin cultural features. The north side of the construction is a full-height glass curtain wall， saving the indoor energies by taking full advantage of sunshine， furthermore， the beautiful scenery outside of the curtain wall can be sweeping viewed. The design of the constructed roof is also a highlight; the wavelike roof is integrated with the undulate mountains far away from the site. A new and eco-friendly green roof is used impressively， taking on different scenes in different seasons. The protruding balcony in south side of the construction breaks the traditional designs. It stretched directly from the roof， intensifying visual effect of the exterior facade of the construction， and giving us sensual pleasures of fresh and creation.
