SZA设计(arhitekturu工作室)，他们提议的台中市文化中心是一个复杂的设计。占地面积50 * 50米，按照他们的设计，能创造出一个充满活力的、自给自足的系统，可以建造一个有休息功能的建筑层，可以让建筑师们在工作后休息。在基本的计划中，有一个中央通信核心，可以控制是否开放个人区域。还可以将所有需要的内容，在博物馆和图书馆中形成一个垂直的序列，这个简单的控制功能部件能使博物馆和图书馆在地域上完全分离。

在整个封闭空间的所有方向都能够完整地建立起与各部分的联系，结构形式已经延伸到开放的形式。垂直的结构由周边的自然界和自然过程产生的能源组成整体的一部分。由于其自身的能源缺乏的原因，TSCT正在成为一个主动回收周边空气、水和废物的系统，并且还能还给台湾一个新的、生态多样性的亚热带自然环境。这个体系结构完全是一个相互交流的气候学、化学动力学以及社会学的场所，可以在市区改善我们的生态环境。

Designed by SZA (Studio za arhitekturu)， their Taichung City Cultural Center proposal is a complex space structure. With its ground plan being 50 x 50 m， their concept creates an energetic， self-sufficiency throughout the project through a system of a vertical accordion and through an exchange of functional storeys and sustainable construction storeys. The basic ground plan organization， with central communication core， enables access control as well as openness of individual floors. All required contents of the museum and the library form a vertical sequence， a simple and controlled functional unit which enables the museum and the library being completely separated.
With complete communication set up in all directions across the parcel， the structural form has been stretched vertically， thus becoming open. the structure comprises its surrounding， while the nature and natural processes of generating energy become the integral part of the structure.
Due to its own sources of energy， TSCT is becoming a proactive architecture built in accordance with its surrounding， recycling air， water and waste， as well as giving a new symbiotic ecosystem for a subtropical biodiversity of Taiwan. The architecture is completely in an interaction with contextual climatology， chemistry， kinetics， and sociology in order to reduce our ecological imprint in an urban area.
