the bertamirans cultural center in la coru?a is a local hub for artistic and theatrical events， but over the years the space became too small for the scope of activities it hosted. local practice salgado e li?ares arquitectos have extended the facility with a simple structure made of exposed concrete and natural wood planks. strip windows invite views and natural light to illuminate the double-height multifunctional space. simple forms and a keen organization provide the proper backdrop for a series of program hosting workshops， performances， exhibitions， or any various other events. although the function is easily understood， the quality of the structure and range of tones and textures create an incredible building used to practice and disseminate the creative arts.
