我们认为所有购物中心都应该在地下，在地下购物中心之上有一个郁郁葱葱的公共公园。在巴塞罗那，购物中心的设计是为了给建筑物提供一些急需的零件及住宅组件。从上图可以看出，路人和居民只能看到一片森林，但隐藏在森林下面是一个网状的节能商业空间。
在巴塞罗那这是一个戏剧性的建筑物，它集购物和住宅为一体。这个项目的核心是一个露天购物中心，其独特的设计吸引了人们的注意。现如今，房地产的市场区域正在不断扩大，比例不断提高，住宅房将是一项逐步进入建设程序的项目。
该项目最精彩的地方是其强大的可持续性的设计，并且同时添加一个新的公共城市公园。该建筑物的上面部分是一个绿色的屋顶公园，填满了树木并为附近的居民和游客提供了新鲜干净的空气。下面的商店将利用公园的太阳能采光，另外还有雨水收集和回收的设施，这些设施将使购物中心冬暖夏凉。

MVRDV Unveils Plans for an Underground Shopping Mall Topped With a Lush Park
in Barcelona
MVRDV's Maquinnext is how we think all shopping centers should
be - underground and topped with a lush public park. Designed for Barcelona， the
shopping center is designed to provide much-needed park space along with retail
and residential components. From above， passersby and residents can only see a
forest， but hidden below is a network of energy-efficient commercial
spaces
Maquinnext is a proposal for a dramatic mixed-use shopping and
residential development in Barcelona. At the core of the project is an open-air
shopping center designed to draw new people to the area and strengthen its
economic base. As the housing market in the area grows and improves， residential
towers will be phased into the construction of the project.
The highlight of
the project is its strong focus on sustainable design and the addition of a new
public park for the city. Topping the shopping center is a green roof park
filled with a forest of trees provide fresh clean air， a cooling effect， and
recreational opportunities for nearby residents and visitors. The shops below
the park will take advantage of passive solar design and daylighting. Rainwater
will be collected and recycled for use within the facility， and the park will
act as thermal barrier to keep the shopping center below cool in the summer and
warm in the winter.
